Sylvia Seddon

Sylvia V. Seddon, 71, of Hilo, died Dec. 3, 2022 at Hilo Medical Center. Born Feb. 4, 1951, in California, she was a retired certified nurse aid in California and a member of the Glad Tidings Church in Hilo. Friends may call on Dec. 20 at Glad Tidings Church in Hilo, visitation from 10 to 11 a.m.; memorial services/celebration of life at 11 a.m. Casual attire. She is survived by fiancé, Raymond Rabisa Sr. of Hilo; daughters, Tara Delligath, Sherri Decker and Michele Seddon of California; brother, Tim Collins of Mainland; daughter in-law, Misty Seddon of Mainland; sister in-law, Rose Collins of Mainland; uncle, Wayne Collins of Mainland; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kiyoko Yanagawa

Kiyoko “Gladys” Yanagawa, 90, of Hilo died Nov. 27, 2022, at the Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Hilo, she was a retired waitress at Café 100. Private services held. Family requests no flowers and no koden (monetary gifts). She is survived by children, Scott (Hilareylane Mako) Yanagawa of Hilo, Bonnie Yanagawa of Hilo, Ann (Bradford) Yamamoto of Hilo, Boyd (Melinda Moniz) Yanagawa of Ainaloa; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews. Roy Daikawa

Roy Masaji Daikawa, 80, of Hilo died on Dec. 3. 2022, at his residence. Born in Hilo, he was a retired life guard for the County of Hawaii and a member of Big Island Woodturners. Visitation from 4:30 to 5 p.m. Dec. 22 at the Church of the Holy Cross; a celebration of his life will begin at 5. Casual attire. He is survived by wife, Mildred Daikawa of Hilo; children, Neal (Jean Marie) Daikawa of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Royden (Laura Esbensen) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Christine (Catherine Perry) Daikawa of Cedarburg, Wisconsin; siblings, Sadako (Henry) Suzuki of Hilo, Paul (Jane) Daikawa of Hilo, Stanley (Janice) Daikawa of Apple Valley, Minnesota, Carole (Harry) Watanabe of Los Alamos, New Mexico; eight grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
